That is why we at Koschier IT take data protection and the associated legal obligations very seriously. This privacy policy is intended to give you an overview of what data we are talking about, how we collect it, how we process it, and where we store it.
Personal data
We collect, process, and use your personal data only with your consent or if permitted by law. We will only collect, process, and use personal data that is necessary for the performance and use of our services and that you voluntarily provide to us.
Personal data is any data that contains information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable person. This includes, for example, name, address, date of birth, or bank details.
We do not process any data that is sensitive under data protection law, in particular ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic or health data.
We require personal data from you for the following purposes:
We require personal data from you for the following purposes:
* to contact you
* to subscribe to and unsubscribe from our mailings
* to process orders and contracts
* for ordering
* to process customer data

* in connection with job applications
The collection, processing, and use of your personal data is carried out exclusively for specific purposes. We regularly review our data collection, storage, and processing practices to ensure that we collect, store, and process as little personal data as possible (principle of data minimization).
Email communications
We use your data exclusively for our own email communications, which we send out up to 12 times a year. Your email address, first name, last name, title, and company name are stored for this purpose. Your data will not be passed on to third parties for advertising or analysis purposes, but will be processed exclusively by us or our processors for the purpose of sending emails. Each mailing contains a link that you can use to permanently unsubscribe from further mailings.
Our website
When you visit our website, the IP address of your Internet provider, the website from which you visit us, the pages you visit on our site, and the date and duration of your visit are recorded. This information is essential for the technical transmission of the web pages and secure server operation. This data is not evaluated on a personal basis.
If you send us data via the contact form, this data is stored on our servers as part of our data backup procedures. We use your data exclusively for the purpose of processing your request. Your data is treated as strictly confidential. It is not passed on to third parties.
Data security
We have taken technical and organizational measures to protect your data. These are regularly reviewed and adapted to the state of the art. Detailed information and training for our employees, as well as their obligation to maintain data confidentiality, ensure that your data is treated as strictly confidential.
On our website, where personal information can be provided, we use the industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt your data. With SSL encryption, your data is scrambled before it is transmitted to our server so that it cannot be reconstructed by third parties. This ensures the confidentiality of your information when it is transmitted to a website.
The encryption of sensitive data transfers using SSL certificates, the use of firewalls, and other internal security and authorization systems ensure that your sensitive data cannot be accessed without special authorization.
Web analytics without cookies
We use Umami Analytics, an open-source web analytics tool that we operate on our own servers. This means that no data is transmitted to third parties—the collected data never leaves our infrastructure.
Umami allows us to understand general trends in website usage, such as which pages are visited and how visitors find our site. The system does not use cookies and does not track individual users. No personal or identifying data (such as IP addresses) are stored or processed. All data is aggregated and anonymized, ensuring complete privacy while still helping us improve our website.
YouTube videos
Some pages on our website contain embedded videos that are hosted by external streaming service providers such as YouTube (a Google Inc. company). Please note that data will be transmitted to the external provider at the latest when you play a video.
Social media
We use social sharing plugins from Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. When you click on the button, a direct connection to the servers of the respective provider is established and they are informed which specific website you are currently visiting and which content you are sharing. If you are logged in as a registered user with this provider while visiting our website, the provider can assign the visit to your profile. In some cases, simply visiting our website is sufficient for this. If you share or like content, this will be made visible to other people in this social network in accordance with your privacy settings. In addition, these providers reserve the right to pass on summarized statistics about user activities to third parties, i.e., other users and partners, advertisers, and affiliated websites. We have no influence whatsoever on the scope of the data that these providers collect when you share or like content and therefore ask you to refer to the privacy policies of these providers for information on the collection, disclosure, and use of your data:
Storage location
Your personal data is generally stored in Austria. In the following cases, cross-border data transfer may occur: Our mailings are sent via servers within the EU. Tracking data from Google Analytics and social media tools is also transferred to trusted organizations outside the EU. This applies in particular to Google and Facebook, which have committed themselves to lawful data use via Privacy Shield.
Your rights
You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation, and objection. In the case of a request for information, our security measures require us to ask you to provide proof of your identity. Please send us a message to office@koschier.at.
