Warning: Fake emails in the name of the tax office

In recent days, there has been an increase in fraudulent emails that appear to come from the tax office. These emails announce an alleged tax audit. Important: These messages are not genuine!
Just one glance at the sender shows that these are not official tax office emails. Instead, the attachment contains malware, such as Trojans. Unlike traditional phishing emails, there is no link here, just an infected file.

How to stay on the safe side
These fake emails don't just appear in the name of the tax office. Banks, shipping services such as DHL, and even large online shops are also being misused for this purpose. The goal is always the same: to infiltrate malware or obtain sensitive data.
